Hi Sovan! That happens to everyone, even in Khmer! Use "filler phrases" to buy yourself time to think, without losing your professional tone. Instead of saying "Ummm," say: "What I mean to say is..." or "To put it another way..." This keeps you sounding fluent while your brain catches up! 🧠🗣️
How is C1 speaking different from B2? I feel like I'm stuck at B2.
At B2, you can clearly express your opinion ("I think this is good because..."). At C1, it's about nuance and structure. A C1 speaker can debate, concede a point to their opponent, and pivot gracefully back to their own argument. It's not just about what you say, it's about HOW you structure the logic! 🏗️
Is it okay to use big, complicated vocabulary words just to sound C1?
No! That is a very common mistake. Only use advanced vocabulary if it is accurate and natural for the context. Coherence (making logical sense) is much more important than using a "big word" incorrectly. Clear and structured is better than complicated and confusing! 💡
