When you read a short story about someone's day, or a description of a place like a market in Battambang, it's important to understand the details. Who are the people? What are they doing? Where are they? Knowing these details helps you get a clear picture of what you're reading. This is called "reading for detail."


Reading for Specific Information

When you read for detail, you look for specific facts and information in the text. Let's try with an example. Click the text to hear it.
