Let's Get Ready to Read!

You have learned your letter sounds (Lesson 2) and some tricky sight words (Lesson 3). Now it's time to put it all together! Today, we will practice how to decode1 words.

We will focus on simple CVC Words2 (Consonant-Vowel-Consonant). We will also learn about Word Families3 to help you read even faster.

Part 1: The "-at" Word Family

Words in a family rhyme4. They have the same ending sound. Let's read the "-at" family.
