Lesson 6: Personal Pronouns (he, she, it)
In our last lesson, we learned to use 'I' and 'you'. Today, we will learn three new pronouns we use when we talk about other people or things: he, she, and it.
The Pronoun 'He'
We use he when we talk about one man1 or one boy.
- My teacher is Mr. Bora. He is very kind.
- That is my father. He is a fisherman.
The Pronoun 'She'
We use she when we talk about one woman2 or one girl.
- My sister is a student. She studies in Phnom Penh.
- This is Mrs. Davy. She is a great cook.
The Pronoun 'It'
We use it when we talk about one animal3, one thing4, or one place.
- I have a cat. It likes to sleep all day.
- This is my phone. It is new.
- We are in Kampot. It is a beautiful province.
