សព្វនាម (he, she, it)

Pronouns replace nouns so we do not have to repeat the same words over and over again!

សព្វនាមជំនួសនាម ដើម្បីកុំឱ្យយើងនិយាយពាក្យដដែលៗត្រឡប់ចុះត្រឡប់ឡើង។

warning The Pronoun Trap!

Do not use "It" for a person!

"My brother is here. It is happy."

Sometimes people use "it" for a baby before it is born if they do not know the gender. But once the baby is born, we always use "he" or "she"! 👶

No, "it" is only for ONE thing! If there are many things, we use "They". For example: "The books are heavy. They are heavy." We will learn that in the next lesson! 📚
