Yesterday, Vuthy the marble carver and his friend Ravy, a train conductor, traveled from Pursat to the floating village at Kampong Luong. Vuthy usually worked in his marble shop, but he wanted a break. In the morning, they walked to the bus station and bought their tickets. A large bus arrived at 8:00 AM. They found a comfortable seat near the window. The bus departed from the station and drove down Highway 5. The journey took about one hour.
Then, they stopped at the river. Ravy bought a ferry ticket for each of them. Many passengers waited at the wooden pier. When the ferry arrived, they got on the boat. The weather was sunny and beautiful. They saw many houses floating on the water. Vuthy took many pictures of the lake. They ate delicious grilled fish for lunch.
