Welcome! When my students practice conversations, they sometimes mix up who is receiving an action and who owns an item. Today, we are focusing on Object Pronouns (the receivers) and Possessive Pronouns (the owners) so you can communicate clearly in any situation.
warning Common Mistake
A possessive pronoun (like 'mine') stands alone and replaces the noun. A possessive adjective (like 'my') must sit next to a noun. We say "This is my tuk-tuk" OR "This tuk-tuk is mine." Never say "This is mine tuk-tuk."

Me
Used by a speaker to refer to himself or herself as the object of a verb.
Example: The friendly vendor gave me an extra piece of fruit.

Used to refer to two or more people or things as the object of a verb.

Used to refer to a thing or things belonging to or associated with the speaker.

Used to refer to a thing or things belonging to or associated with two or more other people.
