Shadowing Drill

Improve your English fluency and pronunciation by speaking exactly along with a native speaker's rhythm and flow.

psychology Strategy: What is Shadowing?

Whether you are guiding international tourists around Siem Reap or working with a global team in Phnom Penh, speaking clearly is essential. But speaking well isn't just about vocabulary; it is about rhythm.

"Shadowing" is a powerful language technique where you listen to an audio track and try to speak at the exact same time as the speaker. You act like their shadow! You must copy their speed, when they pause, and the words they emphasize (stress).

Lesson Summary & Review

Let's review the key concepts covered in the interactive module above.

Why Shadowing Works

Reading textbooks teaches your brain, but Shadowing teaches your mouth. By mimicking native speakers, you build muscle memory for English sounds.

  • Stress: You naturally learn which words to emphasize (usually nouns and verbs).
  • Pacing: You learn how fast to speak and, more importantly, when to pause.
