Fruit & Vegetables
Lesson Goal: Learn how to listen carefully for specific items, descriptions, and quantities when shopping.
Listening for Quantities
When you visit Phsar Thmey or your local market, the environment can be very noisy. You don't need to understand every single word the vendor says to buy your food.
The most important skill is listening for keywords. When shopping, you should listen specifically for Nouns (the names of the food like carrots or apples), Adjectives (words that describe the food like sweet or ripe), and Quantities (like one kilo).
Go to the next card to learn the basic market vocabulary, then listen to the conversation in the Listen tab!
