The Punctuation Trap! ⚠️

Advanced connectors require advanced punctuation.

This is a comma splice! "Therefore" is not a conjunction like "and" or "so".

Good observation, Piseth! You are right, the *meaning* is the same. The difference is the *tone*.

If I message my friend, I say: "It was raining, so I stayed home." (Casual/A2)
If I am writing a formal business report, I write: "The weather conditions were severe; consequently, the event was postponed." (Formal/B2)

Choose the word based on who is reading your text! ✍️
