Is the word "Bank" (river bank vs money bank) an example of Polysemy?

Actually, no! That is Homonymy. "Bank" (river) comes from an old Scandinavian word for "hill/ridge", while "Bank" (money) comes from an Italian word for "table" (where money was traded). Because their origins and meanings are totally unrelated, they are homonyms, not polysemes! account_balance water_drop

Context clues are everything at the C1 level! Look at the words around it. If they are talking about "plans," "projects," or "software," it means to perform an action. If they are talking about "criminals," "prison," or "judges," it means the legal punishment. search

Is "Draft" a polyseme? Like drafting an essay vs feeling a draft of wind?

Yes! "Draft" is a great C1 polyseme. It all stems from the old meaning of "pulling or drawing". You "draw" out a preliminary document (drafting an essay), the wind is "drawn" through a room (a draft), and soldiers are "drawn" into the military (the draft). Brilliant example! air description
