Speaking: Vocabulary for Speaking B1 - Lesson 2

Travel & Tourism Vocabulary

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to use a wider, more descriptive range of B1-level vocabulary to talk about travel and tourism.

Describing a Dream Journey

Using specific and descriptive vocabulary makes your stories more engaging. Let's listen to someone describe their dream journey2. Notice the B1-level vocabulary.

"For my dream trip, my chosen destination3 is Switzerland. My itinerary4 would focus on nature. I plan to book my accommodation5 in a small, picturesque10 village in the mountains, not a bustling12 city. I want to explore7 the hiking trails and see the stunning8 mountain landscapes9. The goal is to find a very tranquil11 place to relax. Of course, I would also visit famous landmarks6 and take many photos."
