An instruction, or a command2, is a short sentence that tells you what to do. They usually start with an imperative verb3. Let's learn to understand some common instructions you see and hear every day.

You will often hear your teacher say these things. Look at the picture and read the command.

You can see instructions on signs around town, at shops, and at school.
