Hello Cambodian Learners!
When you follow a recipe to make your favorite Khmer food, or when you tell a friend about your day, the order of things is important! In English reading, we also need to understand the sequence – what happens first, what happens next, and so on. Today, we'll practice following the order in simple instructions and short stories.
Understanding Sequence
The sequence is the order in which things happen or should be done.
Words like first, next, then, and finally help us understand the order.
Example of instructions (Click each step to hear it):
How to Draw a Simple House:
First, draw a big square.
Next, draw a triangle on top for the roof.
Then, draw a small rectangle for the door.
Finally, draw two small squares for the windows.
