The Path to Peace
A Manifesto for the Future: How We End the War
We have exposed the lies, the oil, the law, and the hate. Now, we must answer the most important question: How does this end?
Does it end with another generation of Cambodian and Thai children learning to hate each other? Does it end with wasted billions on fighter jets while schools crumble?
No. There is a way out. It is not a fantasy; it is a policy. It is called the JDA (Joint Development Area).
I. THE "WIN-WIN" SOLUTION
The solution requires both sides to do something brave: Put the map in the freezer.
We do not need to agree on exactly where the line is in the water today. We can agree to disagree on "Sovereignty" for now, but agree to share the "Resources" immediately.
Extract the Oil & Gas together. Split the revenue evenly. Use the money to build schools, hospitals, and railways for BOTH nations.
II. IT HAS BEEN DONE BEFORE
Thailand knows this works. Why? Because they already did it with Malaysia.
In 1979, Thailand and Malaysia had a similar dispute. Instead of bombing each other, they created the JDA (Joint Development Area). Today, that area produces gas that powers industries in both countries. It turned a zone of conflict into a zone of profit.
Why does Thailand refuse to offer Cambodia the same deal they gave Malaysia? Because they view Malaysia as an equal, but they view Cambodia as a subordinate. This mindset must die.
III. A CALL TO THE YOUTH
This war belongs to the Generals, not to us. The "Generals' Generation" is obsessed with old maps and historical grudges. But the "Digital Generation" cares about the future.
To the youth of Thailand: Do not let old men tell you who your enemy is. Your enemy is not the Cambodian farmer across the border. Your enemy is the corruption that steals your future. We are not your rivals; we are your market, your partners, and your brothers.
IV. THE FINAL VISION
Imagine a border that is not a line of fire, but a bridge.
- High-speed trains running from Bangkok to Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh City.
- A shared energy grid powered by the Gulf's resources.
- A unified ASEAN economy that commands respect on the world stage.
This future is sitting right there, waiting for us to pick it up. All we have to do is drop the gun.
