It is a sunny morning in Koh Kong, Cambodia. Makara, the eco-ranger, and Ratanak, a local fisher, are making lunch together near the beautiful mangrove forest. They are using a traditional Cambodian recipe to make a delicious seafood soup. Ratanak is holding some fresh fish that he caught this morning. Right now, he is chopping the fish into small pieces.
Makara is preparing the other ingredients. She is boiling water in a large metal pot over a small fire.
"Are you frying the garlic?" asks Ratanak.
"No, I am not frying it," Makara answers. "I am boiling the lemongrass and garlic first."
After a few minutes, Ratanak adds the fish to the hot pot. Makara takes a large spoon to stir the soup carefully. The smell of the food is amazing. The monkeys in the trees are watching them cook.
