The Two Rules for Ending Sentences
In English, every sentence must end with a punctuation mark.
Rule 1: The Full Stop (Period)
Use a full stop (.) to end a statement (a sentence that tells you something).
- I like coffee
- My name is Vanna
- The dog is big
Rule 2: The Question Mark
Use a question mark (?) to end a question (a sentence that asks you something).
- What is your name
- Do you like coffee
- Is the dog big
