We use "going to" to talk about future plans and intentions.

He isn't going to cook tonight. គាត់នឹងមិនធ្វើម្ហូបទេយប់នេះ។

Hi Serey! Yes, exactly! "Gonna" is just a fast, spoken way to say "going to". It is very common when speaking with friends. However, when you are *writing* an email or a test, always spell it out as "going to". 📝🗣️
