Speaking: Fluency & Coherence B1 - Lesson 4: Using Fillers More Effectively (well, you know)

B1 Fluency: Using Fillers
B1
Using Fillers
ការប្រើពាក្យបំពេញចន្លោះ
🎯 Objective / គោលបំណង:

Don't just say "Umm..." or stay silent. Use "Fillers" like "Well" or "Let me see" to buy thinking time politely.

💬 Scenario: The Unexpected Question

Friend "What did you do last weekend?"
Bad Response (Silence/Panic) "I... ummm... [silence]... went to... uhh... the mall."
(Awkward. The listener feels uncomfortable.)
Good Response (Using Fillers) "Well, let me see... I actually went to the mall, you know, the new one."
(Smooth. The fillers bridge the gap while you think.)

Interactive: Pick the Right Filler

Goal: You need time to think of an answer.
