កិរិយាសព្ទសន្មតក្នុងបរិបទ

A Phrasal Verb = Verb + Particle. Together, they create a completely new meaning!

Hi Sovan! Unfortunately, there is no strict grammar rule to guess this. You have to memorize them! However, dictionaries will tell you. If a dictionary says "figure [something] out", it means it's separable! menu_book

Can I just use normal verbs instead? Like using "postpone" instead of "put off"?

Yes, you can! "Postpone" is perfectly correct. However, native English speakers use phrasal verbs constantly in everyday speaking. So even if you choose to speak using "postpone", you must understand "put off" when reading or listening! my_location
