We use "The" when we know exactly which thing we are talking about.

Great question! Normally we don't use 'The' for countries (like Cambodia, Japan). BUT if the country name has words like "States", "Kingdom", or "Republic", we DO use it! So, "The USA" and "The UK" are correct! 🇺🇸🇬🇧
