Basic Computer Parts & Internet Terms
In today's world, technology1 is everywhere. We use it at work, at school, and at home to communicate and find information. This lesson will teach you the essential English vocabulary for basic computer parts and common internet terms.
Computer Hardware (The Physical Parts)

Internet & Software (The Digital Parts)

| website7 | គេហទំព័រ | A set of pages on the internet with information. Example: "This English lesson is on a website." |
| email8 | អ៊ីមែល | A system for sending messages from computer to computer. Example: "I will send you an email." |
| password9 | ពាក្យសម្ងាត់ | A secret word used to get access to something. Example: "Don't share your password." |
| download / upload10 | ទាញយក / បញ្ចូល | To copy data from the internet (download) or to the internet (upload). Example: "I need to download a PDF file." |
Usage Note: Common Technology Verbs
We use specific verbs when talking about technology. Here are some common chunks:
- turn on / turn off the computer
- connect to the internet
- click on a link
- type on the keyboard
- send an email
- browse / surf a website
