- check Objective tone
- check High lexical density (complex vocabulary)
- check Extensive citations
2. Literary Works auto_stories
- check Subjective, stylized tone
- check Metaphors & symbolism
- check Subtext (reading between the lines)
3. Legal & Technical gavel
- check Highly formal, rigid structure
- check Zero ambiguity (no double meanings)
- check Conditional clauses (if... then)

Rarely! Native researchers read strategically. They read the Abstract first, then the Conclusion. If the paper is useful, they skim the subheadings, and only read the specific paragraphs they need for their own research! school
Why is legal language so difficult? It doesn't even sound like normal English.
It is designed for "zero ambiguity". Normal English can be interpreted in different ways (like poetry). Legal English (Legalese) uses specific, repeated terminology so there is absolutely no confusion in a court of law. gavel
