This is the feeling a speaker creates. Think about the difference between Pub Street in Siem Reap at 10 PM and Angkor Wat at sunrise. The first place has an exciting and energetic atmosphere, while the second is calm and peaceful . In listening, you can find the mood by paying attention to clues in the speaker's voice and choice of words: Pace: Is the speaker talking fast (which can mean they are excited or in a hurry) or slow (which can mean they are calm or serious)?
