Our Commitment to Accessibility
ESL Cambodia is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. I am continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to make this educational resource available to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
ESL Cambodia aims to be fully conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. This is an ongoing process, and I am working to achieve and maintain this standard.
Measures Taken
The design and code of this website include the following features to support accessibility:
- Semantic HTML: The site is built with a logical structure, using semantic HTML elements to help screen readers and other assistive technologies understand the content.
- Keyboard Navigation: The entire site can be navigated using only a keyboard, without requiring a mouse.
- Text Alternatives: All meaningful images include descriptive alternative text.
- Readability: The website uses clean, readable fonts and a clear visual structure.
- Color Contrast: Text and background colors have been chosen to ensure sufficient contrast.
- Consistent Layout: The navigation and structure of the website remain consistent from page to page.
